Calendars open studio

In 2020 I started a practice -a ritual- to start the day, with a need of situating myself in time and in space. I needed a calendar that I would refer to, day-to-day in order to situate myself in time. I needed a gesture that I would place on the calendar, day-to-day in order place myself in space. Each calendar called their frames; defined by how much time the gesture will take, how much space the calendar will occupy. Those calendars are Charring Calendar (2020-2021), Empty Calendar (2021), Seed Calendar (2020), Chatty Calendar (2022), Rice Calendar (2021-2025), K Calendar (2022). Then one discovers that actually there has been a related in the forgotten past, the two calendars in the form of a strand. And thoseTezkere Calendar (2002) and Descansos Calendar (2015-).

Calendars open studio is gathering and displaying my calendar practices until now.
